Everything in the Kobra Holsters store is a digital download: how-to guides in PDF, and 3D gun scans and solid CAD models in STL. Nothing is shipped. These policies cover delivery, downloads, refunds, how you may use the files, and how to reach us.
Delivery
Your files are delivered as download links. Once your payment is approved, the links are sent in your order email. If you checked out with an account, they are also saved in your account under Orders.
Digital orders have no shipping charge and no wait time.
If a download does not work
- Check your spam and promotions folders for the order email from contact@kobraholsters.com.
- Download on a computer with a steady connection. Some scan files are over 300 MB and can stall on a phone or weak Wi-Fi.
- If a download stops partway, start it again or try a different browser.
- Still stuck? Contact us with your order number and we will send you a working link or the file itself. We aim to answer within one business day.
Download limits
We do not put a download limit or an expiry date on any file. Download your files as often as you need to, and keep a backup copy of anything you rely on.
Refunds
A downloaded file cannot be returned, so sales are final once a file has been downloaded. When the problem is on our end, we will fix it:
- Wrong file, missing file, or a file that will not open: we send the correct file. If we cannot, you get a full refund.
- Bought the same item twice by mistake: we refund the duplicate.
- Changed your mind before downloading: Ask within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the order in full, as long as no file in it has been downloaded.
Before you buy, read the product page: STL listings show the format, units and file size, and guide listings show the PDF format, page count and revision. A file that matches its listing but does not suit your software or workflow is not a defect. If you are unsure about a guide, read the free sample first.
License for 3D scans and CAD models
Buying a scan or CAD model gives you a license to use the file. It does not transfer the copyright, which stays with Kobra Holsters.
You may
- Use the files for personal and commercial holster making, including designing and machining molds and selling the holsters you make from them. For the knife, flashlight, tray and carrier files, you may make and sell the holsters, sheaths, trays or carriers you produce with the file.
- Edit the files for your own work and keep backup copies.
You may not
- Resell, share, upload, give away or otherwise redistribute the files, whether original or modified.
- Include the files, or files made from them, in another product, file library or download.
- Molds you make are for your own shop and may not be sold or shared as molds or mold files.
One purchase covers one maker or one business. Each additional business needs its own copy.
Guides
The how-to guides are for your own use. Please do not share, repost or resell the PDFs. The free sample of The Kydex Holster Crafting Guide is the exception and is free to share.
The guides are for education. Always follow firearm safety rules, never use a loaded firearm in holster making, and check material settings against the maker's current data sheets.
What the scan and CAD files are
Our scans and CAD models describe the outside shape of a firearm, light, knife or accessory, for building holster and sheath molds. They are not printable firearms or firearm parts. You are responsible for following the laws where you live and work.
Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and Venmo at checkout. Gift certificates and store credit can also be used. The guide sample is free. Complete a $0 checkout to get the download; no payment is taken.
