Description
A 3D scan of the Walther PPQ with an Olight Baldr Mini, as an STL mesh file for holster molds.
What you get
- Format: STL mesh from a 3D scan
- 1 STL file (Walther_PPQ_Olight_PL-Baldr_Mini.stl)
- File size: 98.0 MB
- Units: centimeters. If your software imports STL as millimeters, scale by 10
- Faces: about 2.0 million
- Captured from the real pistol and light
What you need
- CAD software that can repair, remesh or solidify a mesh (for example Fusion 360 or SolidWorks)
- Time to clean up the mesh before you add mold features
- A way to make the mold: CNC machining or 3D printing
What it is not
- Not a firearm or a firearm part. It is the outside shape only
- Not a finished mold. No holster features have been added
- Not a STEP or Fusion file
- Not guaranteed watertight. Scan meshes usually need repair
Prefer to skip the scan cleanup? This model is also available as a Solid CAD model: an STL exported from a CAD solid. You still add your own mold features.
